Saturday 13th of April saw a big maiden win for new member Nick Butler.
Nick was playing his first competition round since joining the club and managed to complete the stableford round without a wipe.
On a handicap of 36, Nick notched up 50 points!
This will probably be Nick's one and only outing in C grade since a handicap reduction of 16 saw him jump to B1 skipping over B2.
36 to 20 in one day might be the biggest hit anyone's ever taken.

February Monthly Medals
Last Updated on Sunday, 03 February 2013 Written by Iain Sunday, 03 February 2013
44 players braved the weather and took to the course on Saturday 2nd February. Despite the overnight heavy rain and light showers during the day, the course stood up very well. The left side of the 3rd fairway being the only area with a large amount of casual water, mainly due to the blocked stormwater drain. Puddles that were on the greens at 6:30 had disappeared by the time the first group took the course at 8:20.
Because of the low numbers it was decided to run only one grade stroke event on the day and defer the February Monthly Medals a week to Saturday 9th February. Play-offs for the January B1 Grade medals did take place with Cos Ienco winning over Will Tran and Bevan Godwin.
15th White Tee Changes – effective Wednesday 6/2/13
Last Updated on Friday, 01 February 2013 Written by Iain Friday, 01 February 2013
From Wednesday the 6th of February the 15th hole will be played from the forward tee as a par 4.
When GolfNSW rated the course in 2011, the Blue tees rated as ACR 70 with a par of 70 while the White tees rated as ACR 69 with a par of 70.
Changing the 15th White tee to a par 4 keeps the rating at ACR 69 equal to the new par of 69.
This means that when male members play the White course on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, they can shoot 36 points and play to their handicap rather than the 37 points required to play to an ACR one less than par.
Saturday competitions will continue to play the Blue course with the 15th as a par 5 and overall par of 70.
Since the 15th as a par 4 will be a more difficult hole, the committee has initially changed the stroke index by doing a swap of the lower index with the 11th. This index will also apply to the 15th as a par 5.
To carry the creek just left of the bridge is 125M. The lay up is 110M. A 200M tee shot will reach the end of the fairway at the dogleg leaving 161M to center of green.
